James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) releases stunning new image of Jupiter
Observed in infrared by the James Webb Space Telescope, Jupiter displays enhanced visibility of its faint ring system, which becomes more prominent at longer wavelengths due to reflected and emitted light from dust particles. The image also captures four of Jupiter’s Galilean moons—Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto—appearing as discrete sources surrounding the planet, emphasizing the scale of the Jovian system.
