World View to go public by SPAC
World View, the balloon tourism co, to go public via SPAC.
The first space SPAC deal of 2023 is here with World View as reported by Bloomberg on January 12th, 2023. The deal with Leo Holdings Corp. II will see World View’s owners receive compensation around $350 million, subject to adjustments, according to a regulatory filing Friday that confirmed an earlier Bloomberg News report.
LHC:US $10.22
The deal will SPAC under the current LHC:US, trading at 10.22 on the New York Stock Exchange.
World Wonders from above the World
World View is creating stratospheric ballons for Earth Observation (EO) and space tourism. The balloon is powered by a giant helium filled ballon that will lift the capsule 30km into the sky.World View seats start at $50,000 per seat, and plan to start in 2024. World View will highlight world wonders with several destination spots, with an aerial view, such as:
- Grand Canyon 2024
- Amazonia 2026
- The Great Wall of China 2026
- Giza Pyramids 2026
- Great Barrier Reef of Australia 2024
- Serengeti, Kenya 2025
- Aurora Borealis, Norway 2026
The interiors for the space tourist willing to try high altitude tourism are definitlely interesting. High end finishes, mixed with expansive windows, all while looking back down upon our world.
