RocketLab to goto Venus for first time in 40 yrs
Rocketlab (NYSE: RKLB) announced the first private mission to Venus to observe atmospheric conditions. Rocketlab will use an Electron launch vehicle and a Photon spacecraft to probe at the 30 miles mark in Venus’ atmosphere.
Researchers believe Venus was once a similar habitable planet like Earth. NASA believes it may have even been the first habitable world in the solar system, complete with an ocean and Earth-like climate.
This marks the first private exploration of the planet and the first time in 40 years to explore Venus.
